Ode to my P&H Cetus MV

After two years of a good relationship, I’ve decided to part with my Cetus MV. It belonged formerly to my friend, Christopher, with whom I’ve done some great trips with the boat. Most notably, this boat has been to the North Peninsula of Newfoundland and visited the relocated community of Harbour Deep.

Material: composite construction with Diolen (high modulus polyester)
Length: 17 ft 9 in /
Width: 21.5 in
Internal cockpit length: 31.5 in
Internal cockpit width: 16.25 in
Total volume: 87.7 US gal
Weight: 61.2 lb

One unique attribute of this boat is the omission of a skeg in its original construction. As a result, the back hatch is much easier to pack than a boat with a skeg box. I’ve generally found that the long waterline helps it track reasonably well even in wind.
